Dogs are made to move!
Sport dogs require a high level of cardiovascular fitness to excel at their sport. This workshop will give you information about cardiovascular fitness, how to take your dogs heart rate, how long to spend on each activity and what cardiovascular activities are best for your dog.

Who Should Participate?
→There is no mimimum age to take this workshop! Young pups can be exposed to the foundation skills and build on them
→All ages of dogs will benefit as well as those competing in obedience as well as other dog sports (agility, flyball, dock diving, herding, IGP, Ring etc)
→ Anyone who is interested in canine fitness and performance
→ Anyone needing continuing education for CSCC will earn 5 hrs of CEUs for working students and 2 hrs of CEU's for auditing students

What's Included?
↳ Real-time instruction and live Q&A via zoom LIVE sessions.
↳ Bobbie will show a power point presentation that will be available to you after the workshop to download
↳ Access to discussion threads and LIVE session recordings
↳ Working spots will be able to submit up to 5 minute video showing exercises they would like review on (receive voiceover analysis)
Bobbie will teach using zoom, power point, and videos. You can ask questions during the live sessions as well as later in the online classroom.
TWO LIVE sessions (approx. 2 hrs) will be held:
September 17th, 2024 - 4:00pm Pacific
October 1st, 2024 - 4:00pm Pacific
This is for all participants Workers and Auditors. After the workshop I will upload supporting information for download.
After the initial Workshop, workers will turn up to 5 minutes of video of exercises they would like feedback on by September 25th.
Further instructions will be given during the workshop. Another live coaching call will be held on October 1st to answer any questions you have and review worker video feedback.
LIVE Q&A
During the LIVE Q&A sessions Bobbie will answer questions, demonstrate live, and give feedback on videos submitted for review.
DISCUSSION THREADS
There will be discussion threads for workers to post their videos and for auditors to ask questions.
VIDEO REVIEW
Working students can submit a maximum of 5 minutes of video for evaluation. Videos will be submitted by September 25th AFTER the live workshop on September 17th. Voiceover video review will be done by screen-casting for a more personalized experience and more detailed information. Screen-casting is audio-visual feedback (the next best thing to a 1:1 conversation)
START DATE
The live workshop will officially start on September 17th 2024, with a coaching call on October 1st 2024. Access to material for as long as BLCC exists.

Suggested Pre-requisites -
➤ This online workshop will have beginner to advanced exercises
➤ Your dog is able to go to a target and/or get on/off a platform
➤ A basic understanding how to positively train dogs and an open mind

Training Methods -
A variety of training methods can be used to obtain the proper movement, position, or posture - shaping, luring, capturing, targeting and molding. These will be discussed and demonstrated in the video tutorials and through video review but every tiny step will not be demonstrated.
Disclaimer: Some information in this class/workshop may overlap or appear in other classes/workshops due to the foundation needed for many behaviors, tricks and fitness exercises. In addition, there are overlapping skills needed for many different performance activities so you may see exercises that are the same but packaged up differently toward a slightly different goal.

Bobbie owns and operates Pawsitive Performance LLC which offers dog training, fitness training, and trick training around the globe. Bobbie is the lead instructor and program director for the Certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach program that is offered through North Carolina State University and North Carolina State University Veterinary Medicine. She was also a part of the TEAM that contributed knowledge and experience to design the CCFT II Live Lab and was a course instructor for the program. Bobbie completed the certification program for Canine Fitness through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute and she is a Certified Training Partner with Karen Pryor Academy.
Bobbie has 4 awesome dogs that train a variety of skills for agility, fitness training, trick training, tugging, and dock diving. Bobbie enjoys the training process and strives to communicate in the best way she can to help her dogs and clients dogs understand the task at hand. She starts every training session with this question "how can I set the dog up for success and give the dog the best information to successfully complete the behavior".
